About Alex

Professional experience

I am a thinking partner to leaders and teams from young entrepreneurial organisations. I choose to do this because I believe in their disruptive potential to change the world and make it a better place.

My track record is in working in helping professions. Over the years, I have worn many hats – trainer, learning consultant, curriculum designer, programme manager, facilitator, coach, mentor, leadership development specialist. In essence, they were all about helping others be at their best.

Formerly I have been the Leadership Development Manager for Vodafone Group, based in London. In my role, I have managed the design and deployment of global leadership development programmes, high potential programmes and coaching culture strategy. I now sit on the Board for The Association for Professional Executive Coaching and Supervision (APECS). I am also a member of the Disruptive Tech Working Group of the Future of Coaching Collaboration, a group taking the lead on building strong links between megatrends impacting the future of work and the coaching profession.

The informal bits

  • I’ve been fortunate to work with a very broad range of clients and industries from over 15 countries. These include start-ups, scale-ups and unicorns disrupting the world, global enterprises, cultural institutes, educational trusts, work in the NHS, local councils, political cabinet, UN foundation on malnutrition, monitoring boards for prison system and more.
  • As a trustee of an educational charity in Romania, I co-created a four-year curriculum of non-formal education, which has now been followed by 17.000 high-school students across the country.
  • Individuals, teams and organisations are unique (even though they might have similar challenges) and require unique approaches. This is why I don’t run off-the-shelf programmes and always tailor for the needs of the client.
  • I know change well from personal experience. I have lived in 3 countries, 5 cities, and at some point I moved 10 houses in 11 years. More change will follow I’m sure, yet I feel settled and grounded.
  • I’m deeply curios by nature. I constantly wonder how things work or connect, what we can learn from others, how to hold important questions without rushing to find answers.
  • My evergreen challenge is bringing things to a second degree of simplicity, without being reductionist.
  • I center myself by practicing Japanese ju jitsu twice per week. The dojo tradition keep me humble.

Over to you.

I’m inviting you to press pause. A pause to think, reflect, take stock, gain clarity.

If you:

  • are a Founder, CEO or Senior leader in a young entrepreneurial organisation, and
  • are looking for support for yourself and/or your team, and
  • would benefit from a confidential informal conversation about your particular aspirations and context

… then let’s grab a virtual coffee or tea together.

Slow down in order to accelerate.
